The Story Behind the Library

In 2016, I left my decade-long corporate communications career to launch Human at the Helm. Having cut my teeth running thought leadership events with former British Prime Ministers, pitching executives at Davos and SxSW, drafting op-eds for the Wall Street Journal and landing coverage from the New York Times to CNBC, I wanted to translate everything I learned about strategic communication and brand promotion into accessible and meaningful tools for small and mid-sized business owners. 

At the same time that I was honing these modern PR and communication tools with clients, I was also building my own business from scratch. As I looked for resources to guide my own brand building, I quickly became frustrated by how many outdated business resources still dominated the market. It was through these two parallel experiences—honing PR and communication resources for clients while looking for great brand resources for my own business—that the Workbook and Template Library was born. 

I developed this library to offer values-driven business owners a modern, one-stop-shop resource for thoughtfully articulating and promoting your businesses and personal brands. 

What you see here reflects the tools and strategies I use with my clients now, in 2023, and I update the resources as those strategies and our thinking shifts.
